A Macau-based company is waiting on clearance from the Northern Marianas government to start building its resort and casino on Tinian next year.
Alter City Group is planning to start phase one of the $360-million US dollar project as early as June.
It says if the CNMI government agencies expedite the permitting process, they are ready to start building the 500-room hotel.
Later phases will include an 18-hole golf course over 75 hectares of land.
But the company says the golf course can't go ahead until a dumpsite is relocated from the proposed land.
