Bullets fired at police station in A Samoa

7:28 am on 3 November 2014

Four bullets were fired at the police sub station in a drive by shooting in Leone in American Samoa at the weekend.

Noone was injured in the shooting which took place around 3 oclock on Saturday morning.

Our correspondent reports there were four bullet holes on glass windows at the police station and a handful of police inside the station at the time.

Police detectives at the scene yesterday morning said all four bullets were recovered.

It's suspected that a revolver was used in the shooting.

Neighbours near the police station said they heard screeching tires before the shots were fired.

No one has been arrested but our correspondent reports police have an idea of who may have been responsible.
