The new Australian high commissioner to Fiji, Margaret Twomey, has today presented her credentials to the Fiji president Ratu Epeli Nailatikau.
She is the first Australian high commissioner to take up the position since the expulsion of James Batley five years ago.
Ms Twomey had previously served as the deputy high commissioner to Fiji in 2002.
New Zealand and Fiji are still to announce the restoration of full diplomatic links.
