Political parties are being urged to get their acts together and the Political Parties Commission says it expects final coalition agreements today.

The Registrar of Political Parties, Calvin Ziru, says two political blocks have formed in the capital, with camps in different hotels across Honiara.

"We have already received an indication this morning in fact that we will receive a near final coalition agreement. Hopefully with some indication of the members supporting the coalition, later on this afternoon. But then again because of the issue of the needing to secure numbers, we are really still open to this process extending on to the weekend."
