Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister, Peter O'Neill, is expected to find out today whether a Leadership Tribunal set up to investigate his alleged misconduct in office will go ahead this month.

His referral relates to three allegations over the cabinet's decision to take out a state loan of US$1.1 billion obtained from the Swiss Bank, UBS.
The allegations centre on claims Mr O'Neill didn't follow the normal administrative process for securing and approving the loan.
The Post-Courier reports Justice David Cannings is set to make a ruling in the Waigani National Court today regarding the hearing.
Yesterday Mr O'Neill's lawyer, Mal Varitimos QC, made an application in the National Court raising concerns over constitutional issues in the referral.
Mr Varitimos says the Tribunal can not deal with constitutional questions because it has no jurisdiction.
Lawyers for the Public Prosecutor have objected to these contentions, saying they are designed to stop the tribunal going ahead as scheduled on the 26th of January.
