Two men from a village in South Bougainville in Papua New Guinea have been arrested after they were found to be in possession of two bombs from the Second World War.

Senior Sergeant John Popui says the two men were standing close to the main market in Buin town when officers noticed they started to act suspiciously.

He told New Dawn FM that when the officers searched the men, they were surprised to find seven unexploded bombs in their possession.

Mr Popui says the pair will be charged.
