In his debut round as a professional, Sam Lee carded a three under par 69 to be in an eight-way tie for 17th place at the end of the first round.

The 24 year old managed seven birdies, including the first and last holes, along with four bogeys.

Compatriot Vikrant Chandra had a day to forget however, posting an eight over par 80 to be third last in the field.

The Australian golfer Kristopher Mueck is two shots clear of the rest of the field at eight under par.
