Vanuatu schools damaged

2:52 pm on 17 March 2015

Vanuatu's government says all schools in the country will be closed for at least the next week as the rebuild after cyclone Pam gets underway.

Many schools in the country have either sustained damage or are being used as evacuation centres.

All non-essential public servants have also been given the week off, in order to look after their families and clear their properties.
