Fiji's local government minister, Praveen Bala, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.

Mr Bala appeared in court in Lautoka yesterday, accused of causing the death of Puna Chand in a road accident near the town in November 2013.
FBC News reports the case has been brought forward to next month.
Mr Bala has been released on bail.
