Clive Edwards says the previous government asked independent auditors to look at the actions of a minister who was accused of using his position to gain more than 35,000 US dollars.

Mr Edwards says the report was produced at the end of his government's term and the current government is not taking any action despite the implicated minister being part of cabinet again.

The Prime Minister, Akilisi Pohiva, released a statement saying he is only responsible for whatever takes place during his term, not what took place in the previous government.

Mr Edwards says that response is nonsensical and shows stupidity.

"Those reports were not actioned because of the change of government but it doesn't matter which government. It's government properties and government money, doesn't he see that?"
