A Church service was held at the Port Vila seafront for the 11 people who lost their lives during the category 5 storm.

The Secretary of the Vanuatu Christian Council of Churches Pastor Shem Temar conducted the service.

"We come together just to pray for their lives and also pray for the lives of their relatives just to commit themselves into God's hands. And, to show to them that we respect the lost ones. We respect those who have died. They are very important to this nation so that is why we come just to think and pray for them."
