American Samoa Senator Mauga Tasi Asuega has been appointed as the new Secretary of Samoan Affairs.

He replaces former Secretary Satele Galu Satele who was removed by Governor Lolo Moliga last Monday.
Mauga is currently serving as Senator for Ma'uputasi. The position of Secretary of Samoan Affairs is not new to him as he held the position before he became a senator.
Mauga's appointment became effective yesterday.
