The Solomon Islands patrol boat Auki, has extended its relief mission in Vanuatu after Cyclone Pam, for another month at the request of the country's government.
The Solomon Star newspaper reported Police Commissioner Frank Predergast confirmed the extension saying the boat which was deployed a month ago has been doing valuable working moving assets and people around Vanuatu.
Vanuatu's own patrol boat was beached during the Category 5 Cyclone leaving the country without any maritime police capability.
