Nine Australian women MPs are heading to Fiji this week to mentor Pacific island women politicians and discuss ways to tackle domestic violence.
The women will attend the Pacific Women's Parliamentary Partnerships Forum along with Australian Ambassador for Women and Girls, Natasha Stott Despoja.
Women currently make up five percent of parliamentarians in the Pacific compared to the global average of nearly 22 percent.
