A number of international rallies are taking place today to call for foreign journalists and non government organisations to be allowed in to Indonesia's Papua region.
To mark Global Day of Action on West Papua in London, the NGO, Tapol, urges demonstrators to wear all-black clothing and have their mouths taped shut to protest heavy media restrictions in Papua.
Australia West Papua Association in Sydney is planning a peaceful rally outside the Indonesian Consulate.
Rallies are also being held in Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Perth and Melbourne, as well as Wellington where a protest will be held on the steps of parliament.
