Two police officers in Samoa have been charged with adultery.

The man, a senior sergeant, and the woman, a constable, are yet to appear in court as investigations continue but the pair have been suspended from their jobs to await the outcome of the case.

The police spokesperson, Su'a Muli'aga Tiumalu, says the senior sergeant is also facing a separate charge of possession of an unlawful weapon.
