The acting Bougainville Electoral Commissioner, George Manu, is calling on candidates and their scrutineers not to try and disrupt the counting process.
Mr Manu says if they have any queries than they should raise these through the process already set in-place to address disputes that may arise during the counting period.
He says his office, with support from UNDP, has introduced a formal Electoral Dispute Resolution Process.

George Manu says under this process, any enrolled candidate, voter or scrutineers may complete a complaint form if they reasonably believe that a violation of the electoral law or other laws has occurred, or if they object to a decision made by an electoral officer.
Mr Manu is encouraging people to utilize this process and not to disrupt the counting process.
