Fiji Airways has announced that its Chief Financial Officer, David Bowden, will take over as chief executive until a new CEO starts in October.
The airline's group chairman, Nalin Patel, says Mr Bowden's appointment will ensure business continuity in the period before Andre Viljoen takes up his permanent position in October.
Mr Patel says Mr Bowden is an experienced aviation executive who has the necessary qualities to lead the airline in the interim period.
