Fiji's employment minister says the government was not consulted by the US State Department for its 2015 Human Trafficking Report.

The report found that Fiji is a source country for women and children subjected to sex trafficking and forced labour.

It also found Fiji to be a transit country for Asian men and women subjected to forced labour and prostitution.
