A delegation from the Penrith Panthers NRL team will visit Papua New Guinea this weekend.
PNG Rugby Football League chair Sandis Tsaka says the national body has been in talks with Penrith for close to 12 months and is looking at forming a long-term partnership.

Panthers Executive General Manager Phil Gould - a former State or Origin and Premiership winning coach - and CEO Justin Pascoe are among a four-person team that will visit Port Moresby.
The organisations already have a close relationship, with former Hunters duo Wellington and Stanton Albert on the books at Penrith, while PNG teams used the NRL club's facilities in Sydney earlier this year.
The Panthers delegation will watch the PNG Hunters Queensland Cup match against Wynnum Manly Seagulls on Sunday and will discuss working together on developing pathways for PNG players into the NRL system, coaching assistance and the possibility of a trial match between Penrith Panthers NSW Cup and the Hunters.
