The other defendants, Elaine Ulia, Tumua Tofete and Inspector Sala'a Salale, along with Siliniu, have chosen to defend the five charges relating to a police assault case which was withdrawn at Tuasivi court in Savaii three years ago.

A local private law firm has been hired by the Attorney General's office to prosecute the case because of a conflict of interest involving prosecuting lawyers.

The case is set for hearing from the 23 of November.
