Air Vanuatu is selling its Harbin Y-12 aircraft in a move to improve its fleet.
The airline's CEO Joseph Laloyer says Air Vanuatu is finalising its budget for 2016 and he is planning to purchase another Twin Otter aircraft to support the existing fleet.
Mr Laloyer says it is hoped the Twin Otter will be bought in time for the peak season.
He says Twin Otters have proven themselves to be the work horses of the Pacific and the search for an additional aircraft has already begun.
