The Education Commissioner, Dr Rita Sablan, says students should stay home due to heavy rain, thunderstorms, and possible flooding.

The National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam says the tropical disturbance forming east of the group may become a tropical depression when it passes through the region.

It also says a flash flood watch is now in effect on Rota, Tinian, and Saipan, with three to six inches of rain affected.
