Fiji's Opposition Leader has made a formal complaint to the Supervisor of Elections, saying the Attorney General made a false declaration of his assets.

Ro Teimumu Kepa says when Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum revealed his assets and liabilities in February 2015 as required under the Political Parties Decrees of 2013, he undervalued a property he owned in Nadi by at least 25 percent.

Mr Sayed Khaiyum declared the property to be worth $80,000 Fiji dollars but Ro Teimumu Kepa says that in 2006 he had paid $100,000 Fijian dollars for it.

She also says the next door property had sold five years ago for $170,000 dollars and Mr Sayed Khaiyum would have been well aware of this.

Ro Teimumu is calling on the Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem, to urgently investigate what she says was a false declaration.
