The Pacific Islands Forum has received US$1.05 million dollars in aid support from China.
The Chinese Ambassador to Fiji, Zhang Ping, told a handing-over ceremony in Suva that China attaches great importance to the South Pacific region.
He says China stands ready to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation with Pacific island countries and contribute to their development and capacity building.
The Forum Secretary General Dame Meg Taylor says the money will help it advance regional integration and help its members achieve sustainable development.
