The Tahiti beach soccer team has been beaten in the final of the Intercontinental Cup in Dubai.
The Tiki Toa overcame Egypt 8-5 in the semi finals but were outclassed in the deciding match 5-2 against world number one Russia.
Tahiti trailed 4-0 at the end of the first period before Angelo Tchen finally got the French Polynesians on the board in the second period.

Russia scored again before Heimanu Taiarui managed a late consolation.
It was the first defeat of the tournament for the fifth-ranked French Polynesians, who topped their group with wins against Iran, Mexico and World Cup winners Portugal.
