Sport: Outgoing CEO says FRU will have more stability going forward

Fiji Rugby's outgoing CEO believes his successor will be taking over a more stable organisation.

Radrodro Tabualevu announced his resignation last week after just 15 months in the job - meaning Rugby House is on the lookout for a sixth CEO in less than five years.

Tabualevu has denied he was forced out by tensions with the current board and expects his replacement will benefit from some recent changes.

"I think one of the key steps has been taken earlier this year. At the special AGM of the Fiji Rugby Union there was a unanimous decision for the board now to have terms of four years, as opposed to two years before, and that the board is to run from World Cup to the next World Cup year, so that should provide a basis for more stability here on in".

Tabualevu's last day at Rugby House will be December the eighth.
