The Homeland Security Investigations Task Force filed a criminal complaint last week, charging Francisco Tydingco and Lili Zhang Tydingco with two counts of harbouring illegal aliens.

The Tydingcos allegedly picked up a child in China after telling the girl's parents they could enrol her in a public school and she will eventually get a green card if her parents paid up to US$20,000.

In additional Rongxue Liu, the child's purported uncle, had claimed he paid Lili Tydingco US$7,000 in exchange for helping him enter into a fake marriage and obtain a green card.

Both the girl and Mr Liu are classed as overstayers in the U.S. territory.
