Niue have assembled another impressive line-up for the annual Cabramatta Rugby League Nines, which kicks off in Sydney later today.

32 teams from Australia, Europe, South America, Asia and the Pacific will square off at New Era Stadium.

Niue have again entered two teams in the main draw.

Team manager Grace Kapinga said players travelled from Brisbane, Melbourne, the Gold Coast and New Zealand to represent the Rock this weekend.

"We had 36 players turn up but we can only take on 30. We always carry extras just in case because injuries do occur, right up to the last minute. We've had two players already injured and we've had to call in the next couple leading up to it, and we've got two young players who are 17 years of age and one's from New Zealand and the other one represented St George."

The other Pacific countries in action today are American Samoa, Samoa, Cook Islands and Fiji, while the West Papua Warriors will also make their tournament debut.
