Vanuatu is to get its first mammography machine in four months.

The country's ambassador to the European Union, Roy Mickey Joy, says the machine is being bought from Morocco for US$340,000 dollars.

He says Morocco has also promised to train local staff on how to use and maintain the machine.

A local attempt last year to raise funds for a mammography machine was cut short by Cyclone Pam.
