Health authorities in Vanuatu are appealing to parents to make sure healthy food is given to their children and their family.
Vanuatu is ranked 6th in the world in terms of diabetes, and the rate of non-communicable diseases is increasing.
Now health authorities are turning their attention to children to try and prevent the diseases rather than treat them.
Some schools in Port Vila have introduced a healthy food system to help parents to prepare appropriate food for their children.
