The first tourists who were badly injured in a fatal bus crash in Vanuatu have been arriving in Brisbane after being airlifted out of the capital Port Vila yesterday.

Two ni-Vanuatu people died in the crash when the bus they were in collided with the tourist bus on Monday.

The Vanuatu police say the driver of the tourist bus has been charged with reckless driving resulting in death.

He is alleged to have crossed the centre line of the road.

The tourists were returning from a cultural show to their cruise ship Pacific Dawn.
