The American Samoan Government's budget for next year, of just over $US387 million dollars, has been submitted to the Fono.

The governor, Lolo Moliga has told lawmakers the government wants to pursue development strategies to bolster the economy.
The governor says the new budget is $US41 million dollars less than the current year.
The reduction is mostly due to a decline in the Enterprise Fund - the money the government acquires through its publicly-owned agencies.
The budget will be funded through roughly equal amounts of local tax income and federal funds but still with $US158 million dollars from the Enterprise Fund.
Meanwhile the Bureau of Economic Analysis has indicated a slight rise in the territory's Gross Domestic Product in 2015, up 1.1 percent.
This follows an increase in the export of goods, though this was partly offset by an increase in imports.
