Team Fiji's historic Olympic campaign is over after Leslie Copeland failed to qualify for the final of the men's javelin.
The 28 year old threw a best of 76.04 metres to finish in 32nd place.
Copeland finished 13th in London four years ago and Team Fiji Chef de Mission Cathy Wong admits it wasn't the ending they were anticipating.
"Results were not as we would have hoped - he didn't throw his personal best. Now our campaign for Rio has ended, it's on a very very high note with Fiji winning the gold medal (in rugby sevens) obviously," she said.

"For the rest of Team Fiji we actually have not had too bad results. We've had 11th place in weightlifting (from Apolonia Vaivai), we've had our boxer (Winston Hill) who has done extremely well in his first outing ever at a major international tournament, we've had our athletics girl. Sisila (Seavula), who was first time ever into the second round of competition - that's never happened to us before. Our two young swimmers (Matelita Buadromo and Meli Malani) though didn't swim their personal best, this is a tough exposure at an Olympic Games of this magnitude."

Cathy Wong said it was back to the drawing board for Fiji, with a busy schedule over the next four years leading up to the Tokyo Olympics, including the Pacific Mini Games, Commonwealth Games, Commonwealth Youth Games and Pacific Games.
She said the performance of the sevens team in Brazil will also have lasting benefits for the country.
"One of the things that the winning of the gold medal has done for Team Fiji and Fiji as a whole is really opened the eyes for the other athletes to say, 'yes, is rugby can do it, with preparation, with practice, with determination with hard hard work and with support, other athletes are capable of doing just as well in the Olympic Games.' They've made it achievable for the ordinary person in Fiji."
Elsewhere in Rio, Papua New Guinea judoka Maxemillion Kassman has been eliminated from competition in the men's 68kg class.
The 18 year old was beaten 15-1 in his opening round fight against Belgium's Jaouad Achab.
