An anti-drug task force to combat the methamphetamine problem on Rota in the Northern Marianas has been set up.
The Rota Mayor, Efraim Atalig, said while the drug problem was still not alarming, he thinks it was best to nip it in the bud while it's still manageable.
The mayor said he wants to foster a preventive mood rather than a protective mood.
