The University of Papua New Guinea has lifted the ban it imposed on the students who lead this year's class boycott.

The three month boycott was aimed at unseating the Prime Minister, Peter O'neill.

The National reported that the university's appeals committee overturned the ban after considering the students' submissions.

The committee had lifted their permanent exclusion and allowed the students to resume studies.

The National court had previously placed a temporary stay order on the student leader's exclusion to allow them to sit their exams.
