Parliamentarians from across the region are due to meet in Fiji from Sunday for the 25th Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum hosted by the Fiji Speaker Jiko Luveni.
The five-day gathering at a resort in Natadola is to discuss parliamentary partnerships for peace and security which are one of the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Delegations from about 25 countries are expected to attend, including from the US, Russia, China, Japan and Indonesia as well as New Zealand, Australia and the Marshall Islands.
10 countries have produced draft resolutions on a range of issues.
Canada, Japan and South Korea are seeking the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula, Malaysia wants improved border controls and Russia encourages diplomatic means to resolve disputes that could threaten stability in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum was founded by a former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone and first met in Tokyo in 1993.
