The Governor of Guam Eddie Calvo says United States President Donald Trump's pledge to hire more border patrol officers could benefit the territory.

Governor Calvo told the Guam Daily Post that the island has a shortage of Customs and Border Protection agents, which delays tourists for hours at the airport.

He said the airport was forced to reimburse the US government for the overtime incurred by agents.
