The chief executive of the South Pacific Stock Exchange in Suva has resigned.

FBC News reports that Latileta Qoro quit her position with immediate effect.

The chair of the stock exchange board Nur Bano Ali says Ms Qoro has taken responsibility for a miscount of votes in Fijian Holdings Limited A Class Shares elections.

Dr Ali said Ms Qoro promptly submitted her resignation and this was accepted.

Krishika Narayan is the Acting Chief Executive for the next three months or until the Exchange makes a substantive appointment.
