The FBI in the Northern Marianas has confirmed the arrest of a man in connection with last month's death of a worker at the construction site of the Imperial Pacific Resort on Saipan.
The 43-year-old Chinese national was killed after reportedly falling eight metres from a scaffold.
The FBI said the investigation is continuing amid allegations of a federal violation of the workplace visa system.
This includes claims that the company was systematically harbouring individuals who are out of status and in violation of federal statutes.
