Former US president Barack Obama has embarked on a holiday on Moorea in French Polynesia after reportedly working on his memoirs on nearby Tetiaroa.

Local television said he, and his wife Michelle, had been photographed on a yacht.
Four weeks ago, Mr Obama arrived in Tahiti in a private plane and immediately flew on to Tetiaroa - the site of the world's top resort, The Brando.
AFP said Mr Obama rented several villas on the island.
