Fiji's opposition leader says a member of her Sodelpa Party will give the reply to this year's budget announcement.

Ro Teimumu Kepa issued a statement, saying this is being done after consultation with the National Federation Party whose leader had submitted the reply the previous two years.
Ro Teimumu said the NFP's Biman Prasad had been nominated to chair the Parliamentary Standing Committee but his role ended when the standing orders were amended.
She said Fiji media reports describing the change of Mr Prasad's position as a removal were too harsh.
