Tahiti beat Japan 4-3 to keep on track for a spot in the Beach Soccer World Cup knockout rounds.

Japan equalised at the start of the final third, only for Heiarii Tavanae to put the Oceania champs back in front seconds later.

Patrick Tepa stretched the lead to two goals before Japan rallied to make it 3-3.

But Li Fung Kuee struck with barely a minute remaining to seal three vital points for Tahiti, who lost their opening match against Brazil 4-1.

The Tiki Toa face European champions Poland in their final group match, with a win enough to ensure a spot in the quarter finals.
