4:07 pm on 5 May 2017

Some unionised staff at the University of the South Pacific in Vanuatu have held a picket outside the Emalus campus over pay issues.

The President of the Staff Association Louise Vari said members were concerned that they wouldn't get their full pay if they quit the USP.

Mrs Vari said three staff members who resigned last year had yet to receive their severance pay.

She said nothing has been said or done about it.

Those at the picket have asked the USP's senior management to confirm to them in writing that former staff will get their entitlement and those who will leave get paid on the last day of work.
