12:44 pm on 8 May 2017

Tahiti have been outclassed 6-0 by Brazil in the Beach Soccer World Cup final in the Bahamas.

The South Americans needed just 14 seconds to open the scoring through Mauricinho after the Tiki Toa had lost possession in their half.

Mauricinho then turned provider, setting up Datinha to double their lead from close range.

The roles were reversed midway through the second period, with Mauricinho having been played through by Datinha for his second of the match.

Catarino made it four for Brazil with a low left-footed drive into the bottom corner before Daniel scored a quick-fire brace in the space of 72 seconds to cap off an emphatic performance.

It's a record fifth Beach Soccer World Cup title for Brazil and a second straight runners-up finish for Tahiti.

The Tiki Toa were also beaten 4-1 by Brazil in their opening pool match, with the South Americans the only team to get the better of the Oceania champions.
