Sport: Hunters where they want to be in QCup

The Papua New Guinea Hunters coach Michael Marum says their Intrust Super Cup season is going to plan so far as the team comes out of representative weekend.

Earlier the Hunters season was meandering as the team slumped out of the top six but Marum said this was to be expected with a number of injuries and new players involved inititally.

The team now heads into a bye week fresh off consecutive wins which hoisted equal points with table topping Redcliffe but second on differential.

Marum said he believes his team had started well.

"That's where we wanted to be, somewhere in the top six. To finish on [14] points with Redcliffe up top there, I think is a big achievement so far," he said.
