Vanuatu police call on security guards to follow the law

A senior Vanuatu police officer, Superintendent George Songi, is appealing to nightclub owners to properly vet the security guards they hire.

Superintendent Songi said security guards must be well trained, understand their roles and responsibilities, and make sure they follow the law.

He made the appeal after security staff were included in the four suspects in the killing of a man in his twenties in Port Vila last week.
