The National University of Samoa has requested 50 acres of land from government to build a campus on Savai'i.
The university, which is based on Upolo, opened an office this week at Savai'i's Salelologa Market.
Vice-chancellor Professor Fui Asofou So'o said the new office would provide services for students and stakeholders of the university in Savai'i.
Enrollments for Savai'i students would also be made easier by the new office, he said.
