Papua New Guinea crashed to an 84 run defeat by the Australian Indigenous team in the opening match of their month-long tour of Queensland and Northern Territory.
Batting first the Australian Indigenous posted a mammoth 347 for 9 from their 50 overs.
Openers Dary Short (86) and Damon Eagon (77) piled on 136 runs for the opening wicket, with Ben Abbatanglo (75) and Cameron Trask (45) adding to the onslaught in the latter overs.
Chad Soper was the pick of the PNG bowlers, taking 3 for 60, while Boge Reva (2 for 26) and Nosiana Pokana (2 for 48) were also among the wickets.

Sese Bau (57) and Mahuru Dai (32) tried to rebuild the innings in the middle overs, combining for a 60-run stand for the fifth wicket, before the Indigenous bowlers reasserted their dominance to leave the tourists in deep trouble at 152 for 8.
Norman Vanua led a lower-order fightback, smashing 71 not out off 57 balls, to add some respectability to the PNG total before they were eventually dismissed for 263 in the 48th over.
Sam Doggett was the chief destroyer for the Indigenous team in the field, with 3 for 34, while Darcy Short returned figures of 3 for 42 to complete an impressive all-round performance.
The Barramundis have a couple of days off before the second of four matches against the Australian Indigenous team on Wednesday.
