It says Willie Gogl Onglo is confirmed as the Member-elect for Kundiawa-Gembogl Open.

Earlier this month, the declaration of the seat had been held up by a stay application and restraining orders filed by the former MP Tobias Kulang, preventing the return of writ from the electorate.

However, the Supreme Court has since refused the application by Mr Kulang, who is facing a murder charge over election-related violence in Kundiawa.

Having now received the writ, the Electoral Commissioner today confirmed Mr Onglo as duly elected member for this Highlands seat.
